IMPORTANT HEALTH NEWS
"THE KING OF ALL VITAMINS" VITAMIN B12
MUST BE SUPPLEMENTED IN MANY PEOPLE.
(And in the correct way ..)
Dear People!
Dear reader, the situation is as follows:
Vitamin B12 is also called the “king of all vitamins”. The importance of Vitamin B12 in the human body can be compared to the oil in a gasoline engine. If an engine runs out of oil, slowly but surely disaster follows. The same also happens in the human body:
When Vitamin B12 is no longer present, the body slowly but surely breaks down. These are the hard facts.
Vitamin B12 is extremely vital to the proper functioning of the following:
For blood formation, normal cell division, a proper metabolism and for the entire nervous system. And - most importantly - for the proper functioning of the brains such as your concentration, your clarity, your intelligence. And .. for your life force too, as it plays an essential role in the transportation of oxygen throughout your body and your brains! And we all know: without oxygen ... there's no life ..
And so we have a big problem. For with many of our fellow humans throughout the world, the absorption of vitamin B12 from sources such as meat, poultry and eggs, is not functioning properly. B12 is NOT properly absorbed from the small intestine into the blood! And that's not so much caused by just a 'wrong' diet, for example, by purely eating vegetarian or vegan, but there exists also a series of possible other causes. These can be congenital anomalies in the conversion of B12 (for instance with a baby, if the mother has a lack, so will the baby ..), or having a liver disease, pancreatic problems, reduced stomach acid, a gluten intolerance, intestinal problems (eg Crohn's disease ) and a range of other possibilities.
What is striking: A nitrous oxide anesthesia at the dentist's or in the hospital, can at once paralize the absorption of vitamin B12 into the bloodstream (as cited in the well-known book of First-Aid nurse Sally M. Pacholok : "Could it be B12? An epdidemic or misdiagnosis".)
Heart of the Matter: With a stagnant absorption of vitamin B12 into the bloodstream (even when eating very healthily!), many of us, WITHOUT knowing, are having a (huge) chronic lack of vitamin B12, "The king of all vitamins."
So if the king is absent ... then the devil has freeplay. When the by far most important vitamin for our body and mind is NOT present in our blood and various organs .. it cannot execute the important 'quality' work... with all the adverse consequences for our health.
Even more important: Having an unrecognized vitamin B12 deficiency is nothing more and nothing less than that proverbial “large hole in your health dike" around you. If that gap is not closed, you must not be surprised if many, or all your attempts to use various methods to restore your health, will partly or totally fail. And that situation, the many approaches, methodologies, treatments, etc., being uneffective in obtaining a good stable health, is, all but too well known to many of us. But fortunately this somewhat sad story, does recently have a happy end!
A very motivated Holistic doctor by the name of Hans Reijnen, has studied this relatively unknown phenomenon of vitamin B12 deficiency in debth, with his heart and soul, over the last six years years. I call it a phenomenon, given that we are dealing with a severely debilitating epidemic, as numerous doctors have rarely considered the matter and even if they have, don not have a good answer to give!
In the U.S. and the United Kingdom it is correctly called "The Forgotten Illness'. Or in official medical terms: “M. Biemer-Addison” disease.
To be clear: Having a chronic Vitamin B12 deficiency for years is a serious disease that eventually, after years of gradual decay and demolition, may become debilitating or can even be fatal. And so people gradually, week after week, month after month, year after year, are more and more bereft of much of their mental and physical fitness and vitality. And the Potential Blooming as a Human Being ...
In his practice, doctor Hans Reijnen has discovered over the past six years, to his growing surprise, that this vitamin B12 deficiency in hundreds of his patients is actually a prominent issue. These patients had often consulted many other practitioners in vain.
After careful research, and through much trial and error experimentation, Hans succeeded to solve the vitamin B12 deficiency in his patients. And that solution is simple and relatively inexpensive. The results have shown that after a daily administration of two correct types of vitamin B12 in sublingual form (!) numerous (serious) health conditions subsided, both mentally and physically, and in a relatively short period. The conditions were either partly or even completely solved! When using the correct form of highly effective vitamin B12 sublingual lozenges in the mouth, you avoid the absorption problem of vitamin B12 from the small intestine into the bloodstream. In the mouth, vitamin B12 is made readily available through the oral mucosa into the bloodstream where it can finally do its Victorious Royal Work....
Hans Reijnen describes in his book "Vitamin B12, the Cause of Many Chronic Complaints" how his results increased parallel to his understanding of "how to best approach the matter": "I've seen dozens of patients dramatically improving in whom the supplementation of vitamin B12 has played a leading role. Several patients consulted me in a wheelchair, and are now able to walk or even play tennis. I've often observed spectacular changes in psychiatry, geriatrics and in autism. Hundreds of patients greatly improved. Of course, not all are always as spectacular, but almost always I saw significant improvements occur when the right form of vitamin B12 was administered ".
Based on a sample of 540 of his patients after supplementation of two types of vitamin B12, 19% (108 persons) showed slight improvement, 30% (162 persons), showed moderate to good iprovement, 25% (135 people) showed strong improvement and 25% (135 persons) even made dramatic progress. (One patient showed no improvement and one patient did not return).
In other words, from a group of 540 patients, half (50%, 270 people) showed a strong dramatic improvement in their health. And thirty percent (162 people) moderate to good progress. Of the remaining group 20% (108 persons) experienced slight improvement. These results would have to make every healthcare employee think twice ..
And when we talk about "dramatic progress" we are talking about people who could barely walk, or who were sitting in a wheelchair. They are now back on their legs again and have regained strength and coordination. People whose brain functions were so bad that they thought they were suffering from dementia, are now able to think clear again and no longer forget everything (!). People with recurrent infectious diseases that suddenly no longer have them. People with depression(s) that completely brightened up again. People with ADHD who are calm. People with psychosis, autism, chronic fatigue, with MS, anemia, periodontal disease, insomnia, chronic bowel disease, fertility problems, children with reading, memory and concentration problems:
All of these patients booked a huge, unprecedented, "never expected" & welcoming progress.!
Dear people, so by taking the right dosage of vitamin B12, most of the symptoms disappeared after a relatively short time. With the majority, that is around 80% of the 540 people, serious chronic conditions, diseases, disorders, .. you name it, dissappeared in part or for a substantial portion .. or even a completely! For many of us who have been suffering for years, this new way of supplementing vitamin B12 could mean “GETTING YOUR LIFE BACK!”.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I MAY ALSO HAVE A VITAMIN B12 DEFICIENCY?
The Motto is: "You will only start to see it once you understand it." Johan Cruyff.
Consider the following possible symptoms of a vitamin B12 deficiency. If you yourself, your child, or a friend or family member recognizes him/herself in these symptoms, it could very well be that there is an unnoticed and untreated vitamin B12 deficiency.
It may seem strange that so many symptoms can be linked to a vitamin B12 deficiency, but see it this way: every body is unique and every body responds in its own unique ('desperate') way to the 'insidious' lack of essential energy. "B12 deficiency can Impair the Functioning of almost any part of your body". From the book: "Could it be B12? An Epidemic of Misdiagnosis." Sally M. Pacholok and Jeffrey J. Stuart.
The following list of symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency has been painstakingly compiled using many national and international sources.
NOTE: This symptoms list, as bizarre and unbelievable as it may seem, is largely unknown to both the regular healthcare practitioners (doctors, internists, neurologists, etc.) and the ones in alternative healthcare. And this list is obviously not known to many of the (chronically ill) patients themselves ..
The famous classic diseases of a Vitamin B12 deficiency, such as doctors learned during their training, are Pernicious Anemia and Sub-acute Combined Degeneration . We shall start the list with these..
SYMPTOM LIST FOR VITAMIN B12 DEFICIENCY
If you have a fair number of these complaints, it may well be that you have a (chronic) vitamin B12 deficiency. What you can do about this will be addressed later.
Pernicious anemia: "Pernicious anemia is a form of megaloblastic anemia which means that the red blood cells are enlarged. Vitamin B12, which is building block for hemoglobin, is missing. The absorption of vitamin B12 occurs in the latter part of the small intestine. For the absorption to take place, B12 needs to be linked first to the intrinsic factor produced by the stomach wall. An auto-immune reaction against the parietal cells of the stomach, which produce the intrinsic factor, inhibits this absorption .
"Pernicious anemia is a strong risk factor for getting stomach cancer" Sally M. Pacholok; book "Could It Be B12? An epidemic of misdiagnoses ".
Sub-acute Combined Degeneration, a severe neurologic disorder with damage of the neurons by demyelinisation. The condition is usually always double-sided, left and right. Sometimes the disease is associated with impaired peripheral nerves. (Polyneuropathy) The disease originates with a B12 deficiency. B12 is required for the maintenance of the myeline sheaths which are the insulation layers around the nerves. These are damaged (sometimes forever! BB.) And this may cause Paresis. (Tingling sensations in toes and feet and later in the fingers. Pressure, vibration and touch sens are diminished)
But the last twenty years many more possible symptoms and diseases have been discovered due to a chronic vitamin B12 deficiency:
Low resistance to various infections, flu-like symptoms. Increased susceptibility to infectious diseases. An increased risk of vaginal and urinary tract infections.
Poor healing of wounds.
All auto-immune disorders should be considered 'suspicious'. ME, Multiple Sclerosis (MS). ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). And so on.
Allergies to dust, mold, food, certain metals, hay fever, etc.
Fatigue (somnolence), drowsiness, weakness, generalized weakness, no energy, exhaustion ("already tired upon waking"), emotional crying, not stress-resistant, burnout.
Quote from a vitamin B12-patient:" I am a senior in a young body ".
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Drowsiness falling asleep spontaneously.
Poor sleep.
Painful tongue (glossitis). The so-called beef tongue, especially especially with spicy foods and acidic drinks, when brushing teeth; having a metal taste.
Periodontitis. Gum disease and dental problems.
Diabetes Mellitus (diabetes).
Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). Thyroid problems.
Canker sores in the mouth.
Pain, especially in the hips but also in the wrists and other joints. The complaints seem to ressemble those of Fibromyalgia. A feeling of stiffness and heaviness in the legs. Walking is not stable and pain gets worse. Problems with fine motricity. Sensation in the lower body and legs is greatly reduced or almost absent. Continuous tingling in the limbs and a very poor stamina. Aching muscles. Very poor recovery especially after physical effort.
Strange sensation in the feet ( of felt, cotton wool or pads; sensation of the skin is reduced, tingling or a burning sensation) also in other extremities ( legs, arms and face) as if under "electrical current "," ants running everywhere ", also numbness in hands and feet, tremors.
Psychological problems. Growing feeling of crankiness, moodiness, irritability ("short fuse"), sudden aggression, mood swings, unreasonable behavior to severe psychological problems, panic attacks and even suicidal behavior. Depression. Fed up. No life lust, no passion anymore, for nothing. Giving up. Apathy. Overall physical and mental malaise makes patient susceptible to all kinds of ('comforting') addictions. Confusion. Derealization. Depersonalization ("you do not feel yourself anymore") Paranoia. Behavioural Perception Disorder. Hallucination. Psychosis. Bipolar failure (formerly called : manic depression).
Note.: In 2002, Dutch researchers Tiemeier, Van Tuijl, Hofman, Meijer, Kiliaan, and Breteler published an article in the American Journal of Psychiatry about the link between depression and having a (too) low vitamin B12 level in the blood. The survey questioned nearly 4000 elderly. One of their conclusions: "Low B12 levels were strongly associated with depression". Title of their work: "Vitamin B12, folate, and homocysteine in depression: The Rotterdam study". 159 (12) :2099-101
High Sensitivity. Due to the B12 deficiency the nerves laying, 'bare' as it were making some people extremely sensitive to, sound, light, or energy of other people. Touchy. Jumpy. Often unable to cope with life. Therefore often sad: the frustrating feeling that your life is slipping through your fingers while you want to do and create so much (your passion, your dream, your goal, your "life mission"). But you can not fulfill it. No energy. Too many complaints. Too much disruption. Not resilient, not assertive. Not in your (potential) empowerment.
Postnatal depression, postpartum psychosis.
Autism. Problems with contact, behavior, cognitive functions, motor skills. Unexpected periodic mood swings.
(Note: The website www.drneubrander.com explains how vitamin B12 injections (methylcobalamin) have helped autistic persons very successfully. The site includes countless videos of happy parents. Very moving to see).
Lack of concentration. Short-term memory problems. Forgetfulness. Not able to think clearly, dull feeling “as if having cotton wool in the head”, drowsiness. The available intelligence or IQ is unused.
Hyperaesthesia. Excessive sensitivity of the sensory nerve ends of (parts of) the skin which can be tingling, painful, or irritating. The cause can be either in the skin (eg inflammation of nerves) or it is centrally located.
Restless leg syndrome.
Reumatroïde Arthritis. RA is a chronic inflammatory disease of the joints. It is a so-called auto-immune disorder: a condition where the immune system sees healthy body tissue as foreign and will try to defuse it, as happens with pathogens.
Skin Diseases. Eczema. Psoriasis. Shingles.
Dizziness.
Tightness on the chest. angina pains, heart palpitations, heart arrhythmias, rapid heartbeat or a very weak pulse, shortness of breath.
The common cold (sometimes a burning sensation on the skin)
Inflammation of the digestive tract (intestinal perforation). Burping.
Weight loss due to loss of appetite. Loss of taste and smell.
Nausea, bloating. (No appetite, strange feeling in the stomach).
Bowel problems. Crohn's disease. Ulcers. Diarrhea (with some regularity) Constipation. Farting. Irregular bowel movements.
Ataxia. Decreased sense of position (unstable gait, drunken gait, no longer able to walk, unexpectedly dropping things)
Aphasia. Problems with speaking, using the wrong words, having a hard time finding the right words, speaking with a "double tongue", “keyboard aphasia".
Anemia. Fainting dry skin, itching, striking paleness, yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes, hyper pigmentation, spontaneous bruising.
Blood disorders. A high homocysteine level can damage blood vessels and thus lead to arteriosclerosis (atherosclerosis). It can also change cholesterol into a harmful form and thus quickly damaging blood vessels. Disruption of endothelial cells (lining of the arteries). Formation of blood clots (thrombosis). Risk of cardiovascular diseases, arteriosclerosis and arterial and venous thrombo-embolism (embolism).
Cerebrovascular accidents. Strokes (stroke / CVA), “silent brain infarcts” dementia (vascular dementia, Alzheimer's, depression, accelerated cognitive decline, premature birth, neural tube defects, spontaneous abortion, decreased sperm quality.
Higher risk of getting heart disease.
Eye problems. Optic neuropathy, blurred vision, visual field loss.
Hearing problems. Tinnitus, sinusitis, distorted sound.
Hair loss. (baldness), thinning hair, becoming gray too early, brittle nails.
Frequent urination. Hypertonic bladder, incontinence.
Headaches, migraines.
Menstrual problems. Painful, irregular, sometimes too long, sometimes absent. False positive PAP smear.
Severe menopausal symptoms.
Breast cancer. "There is mounting evidence linking deficient levels of B12 to breast cancer". Quote from: "Could it be B12? An epidemic of misdiagnoses." P. 22.
Infertility in women. Reduced semen quality in men. Miscarriages. Birth defects (eg neural tube defects, spina bifida).
Impotence, or erectile problems, loss of libido.
(Early) Dementia
(Early) Alzheimer's
(Early) Parkinson
WHAT TO DO NEXT WHEN YOU SUSPECT A VITAMIN B12 DEFICIENCY ?
In case of doubt and concern, you can have a blood sample taken at the GP's office. Ask for your vitamin B12 level to be measured. Please apply 300 pmol/l as the lower limit instead of 140 pmol/l, which is still the most comonly used level. According to Hans Reijnen and other B12 activists in Britain and the USA, the current standard needs to be at least more than doubled. Also get your Folic acid level checked. A too high level nullifies the B12 blood test.
Note: Please realize that he blood test may be an important indicator, but is certainly not conclusive about whether or not a deficiency exists. The essential fact is not about the content of vitamin B12 in the blood, but the content of vitamin B12 at tissuelar and cellular level. And those are not measurable. So remember: even if the value of your vitamin B12 blood test measures 350 pmol/l, but you do recognize many symptoms from the list, then a trial treatment of B12, for perhaps three months is very advisable and without risk: as there is no known negative side effect of taking vitamin B12. An 'excess' of vitamin B12 leaves the body through the urine.
A SIMPLE APPROACH TO A VITAMIN B12 DEFICIENCY :
If you have a vitamin B12 deficiency, the approach is simple. Hans Reijnen has found the following two types of vitamin B12 to give the best results.
Methylcobalamine sublingual tabs 1000mcg . (Some international products are: NOW, Solgar, Source Naturals; see Internet).
Dosage: 2-3 tablets once daily under the tongue for an immediate absorption into the bloodstream.
Note: This dosage is indeed higher as stated in the book of Hans Reijnen. But times are changing .. and the latest measurements indicate the dosage listed here.
After 6 weeks start with the second type of vitamin B12.
Dibencozide Coenzyme B12 1000mcg, with Folic Acid 600 mcg.
(Some international products are: 'Advanced B12 Complex' from Source Naturals, Country Life. See Internet)
Dosage: 2 sublingual tablets daily, under the tongue.
Note: After another six weeks reduce the dosage to just one tablet a day of Dibencozide Coenzyme B12 1000mcg, Folic Acid 600 mcg.
Overall dosage for children: 1 tablet daily of methylcobalamine and Dibencozide.
For the little ones: Methylcobalamine and dibecozide are alternated every other day.
HOW FAST CAN YOU EXPECT RESULTS WHEN USING THESE TWO DIFFERENT FORMS OF VITAMIN B12 ?
It's hard to say as it depends on everyone's physical (and mental) condition. If a deficiency is really present, improvement may be noticed after 6 to 12 weeks. Many positive changes may then be noted such as: better condition, reduced tiredness, a less miserable feeling, better resistance, clearer thoughts, better concentration, 'vital' hair, dental improvement, etc..
FOR HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO CONTINUE TO USE THE TWO FORMS OF VITAMIN B12?
In most cases a lifelong supplementation of vitamin B12 will be required, unless one finds the cause of the deficiency. And can this cause be healed? This depends.
